Movie Theatre Popcorn: Vegan and NO seed oils!

This year (2024) I went on Weight Watchers and popcorn is a zero point food, so when I was craving something crunchy and salty, popcorn was my go-to snack. This led me to get a little more creative with popcorn since I couldn't just use all the butter my heart desired! I tried all the different oil sprays, and then when I started learning about all the possible negative effects of seed oils, I decided to switch from canola oils to avocado oil. With all the confusing competing information out there, I've learned I need to try things for myself in order to see how the foods work (or don't work) for my body.
Anyways, when I went off of Weight Watchers, I continued my popcorn addiction (hello fiber fix!) and discovered that Avocado Oil can make at-home popcorn taste like it's from the movie theatre (which is such a treat)! While I am not vegan, I am sure as a vegan it is hard to find good popcorn toppings at home when trying to up your movie theatre popcorn game. I hope you love it, it's so simple!

Ingredients:
Organic popcorn kernels (or non-organic, I've just found the organic tastes so much better with popcorn kernels!)
Avocado Oil
Salt (I use Redmond's Real Salt)
1. Pop your popcorn kernels in your preferred method of popping. (I use this popper in my microwave, it's inexpensive and doesn't take up too much kitchen space)
2. Add preferred amount of avocado oil.
You can always just drizzle it on and taste as you go, or:
If you like it oily... 1 TBS of avocado oil to 1 cup popped popcorn.
If you don't like it too crazy oily... 1 tsp of avocado oil to 1 cup of popped popcorn.
3. Mix, and add salt to your taste!
